Originally from Vancouver Canada, Carmel completed her BA in psychology at Simon Fraser University and her MA in psychology at the University of British Columbia. After relocating to the UK, Carmel completed her PhD in psychology at the University of Leicester. She received an MSc in Psychology and Psychotherapy from the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling in London and certification as a mediator from Regent’s University London.
Carmel has worked with individuals, couples, and families both in mental health and with voluntary organisations.
Carmel is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, Full Clinical Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, and member of the Universities Psychotherapy & Counselling Association.
